I finally found a great bar in Vegas! The Vesper Bar at the Cosmopolitan hotel is staffed this fine desert morning by lovely ladies who are making me a bartenders choice.  I saw the darling Dori pour in some Cynar, so she and I are obviously sisters.  Its a newly made up cocktail with orange bitters, fresh fig infused sweet vermouth and Don Julio reposado tequila.

Feeling Punchy after Burger Night
Fort Defiance kept the holiday weekend going this 4th with a special burger night punch.  We got a big ole watermelon, hollowed it out to make a punch bowl and filled it with watermelon gin punch.  It was good to the last drop!

The punch is from St John and was first published in Fine Cooking Magazine.
